I was pondering my conversation last night with Lee Brower on the fourth of seven one hour presentations I call The Whole Dynamic. Last night’s tele-seminar was on Integrity. Lee is a stand up guy and he delivered the goods in the interview.
It left me thinking about something that is not really being touched on wholeheartedly in the consciousness awareness movement. We need leaders that have balls. We need people that can stand up for integrity and values. It doesn’t matter to me if it is feminine or masculine energy, it doesn’t matter if it is a man or a woman. But for the sake of the world, put on your man pants! When I am talking about man pants, I am referring to conscious leadership. There are a bunch of people that are so called leaders that would just as soon blow up the world to get what they want. That doesn’t mean and that they belong in the consciousness movement. They are controlled by their ego. This doesn’t mean that at some time they won’t wake up and see what they are doing. But for now they are exhibiting false leadership. They are guiding unsuspecting sheep down a path for slaughter. We are all affected by their decisions. This is unconsciousness leadership and thinking.
Meanwhile, there are a couple hundred million people that are looking for direction and true leadership. And maybe they do not want to drink the unicorn milk and sing kumbaya. This does not mean that they cannot see a clear and compassionate way of being. There is no criteria to be able to become conscious. It simply takes being aware and present.
I am here to say that I will be the first to carry the torch down that path. We live our lives choked with beliefs that have been instilled in our heads by God knows whom. Why is it that there is now a new belief that we need to be warm and fuzzy to make the world go around? We still need conscious, integral and compassionate leadership.
I used to love it when my Dad would come home and take his big rubber boots off after a day of hard-core crab fishing. He would throw a couple of Dungeness crabs on the kitchen floor and watch us kids run from them. I can still see him laughing and enjoying the “present moment”. There are a ton of stories like this that exemplify the Power of the Patriarch. When I say patriarch in this sentence, it can easily be replaced with the matriarch these days.
The truth is that we are seeing a change in the world. We are seeing the need for real leadership. It seems to be hard to come by. We have many young people that seem to be confused as what to do or think. They are looking for direction from a leader. Not someone that is going to use his office to propagate the minds of the weak. Not someone that is going to spend every dime of the future generations hard earned tax dollars. Not someone that has never split a cord of wood or put up a fence line. And most certainly not someone that has their hands in the pockets of Wall Street, big business and big oil .
There are many people around the world looking for answers, and they are waiting. Waiting for the words that will take them to a new place with hope and possibilities. Their fathers and there forefathers all faced tough times and most survived. Some did perish. But they knew that they were looked upon as the rock of the family. They are the cliffs that the waves would crash upon.
We have many women that can also fill that role. There are no gender limitations to wearing the man pants. It comes down to what has been the core of our lives for centuries. We all have our stories to cherish. We need to continue to spread the words of consciousness awareness and awakening. But do not take away the bridge once you have crossed over it.
First of all, if you have access to unicorn milk, I really want some! Haha!
Unfortunately, even many of the GOOD leaders in the world today have an agenda which can often challenge the root of “integrity and values” that you mention. The stories you share about your father are so refreshing because they are perfect examples of how a parent leads with their heart, having many of the qualities that we seek in others as adults. I’m sure you never had to question whether or not your dad wore his Man Pants or not… I know that wasn’t an issue with mine. I think we can all look back on our parents’ leadership qualities and remind ourselves of the qualities of a leader who really cares.
Nice topic James 🙂
